This Privacy Policy describes how Optymatch.com (“Optymatch,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our website, platform, or Chrome extension (“Services”).

By using Optymatch or any associated product, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue using our Services.

1. Who We Are

Optymatch.com is a recruitment technology platform that helps organizations simplify and automate their hiring workflows. Our system allows users to manage job applications, evaluate resumes, schedule interviews, and analyze candidate data using AI-based tools.

We also provide the Optymatch LinkedIn Sourcing Extension, which allows recruiters to import candidate details directly from LinkedIn into their Optymatch account.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide
When you register or use our platform, we may collect:

  • Name, email address, company name, and contact details
  • Login credentials and user preferences
  • Candidate information, resumes, and related data uploaded by recruiters or hiring teams
  • Communication and support messages

Ownership of Uploaded Data:
Any resumes, candidate profiles, or related materials uploaded to Optymatch are your property. Optymatch does not use, analyze, sell, or redistribute your uploaded data beyond what is required to operate the system. You remain the full owner of all data you upload.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically
We may automatically collect:

  • Browser type, device details, and IP address
  • Usage statistics and session duration
  • Cookies or local storage data for maintaining login sessions

This helps improve performance, security, and user experience.

2.3 Information Collected Through the Chrome Extension
When using the Optymatch LinkedIn Sourcing Extension, the extension may collect publicly visible information from LinkedIn profiles or job postings, such as name, title, experience, education, and skills.

This happens only when you explicitly activate the extension to import candidate data into your Optymatch account.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected data to:

  • Operate and maintain the Optymatch platform and Chrome extension
  • Manage authentication and access controls
  • Provide resume parsing, scoring, and workflow tools
  • Improve reliability, performance, and security
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
  • Comply with applicable Indian and international data protection laws (excluding European GDPR)

4. Data Ownership and Responsibility

Optymatch acts as a data processor for information uploaded or imported by its users. You, as the recruiter, hiring manager, or organization, are the data owner.

Optymatch does not claim ownership of any uploaded resumes or candidate data. We do not sell, share, or use your data for any purpose other than to deliver our Services. All ownership and responsibility for uploaded data remain with you.

5. Data Storage and Hosting

All data processed by Optymatch is securely hosted on servers managed by Amazon Web Services (AWS). We use industry-standard encryption, authentication, and access control to protect your information.

While we take extensive precautions, no cloud service is entirely risk-free. In the unlikely event of an AWS outage or breach beyond our control, Optymatch cannot be held responsible for data loss or exposure. We will, however, take reasonable steps to mitigate impact and notify affected users promptly.

6. The Optymatch Chrome Extension

6.1 What It Does
The Optymatch LinkedIn Sourcing Extension allows you to import visible LinkedIn profile or job applicant information into your Optymatch account. It works only when you manually trigger an import and never operates automatically in the background.

6.2 What It Does Not Do

  • Does not track browsing activity or collect hidden data
  • Does not sell or transmit data to third parties
  • Does not permanently store data in your browser
  • Does not alter LinkedIn’s functionality or interface

6.3 How Data Flows
When you click “Import,” the extension reads visible LinkedIn page data and securely transmits it to your Optymatch account via encrypted HTTPS connection. Temporary session data may be stored locally for authentication but is not retained permanently.

7. Data Retention

We retain user and candidate data only for as long as necessary to provide our Services or meet legal obligations.
You can delete your data at any time, and it will be removed from active systems within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Data Sharing

Optymatch does not sell, rent, or trade any personal or candidate data. Data may be shared only in limited cases:

  • With trusted partners such as AWS and payment processors (under strict confidentiality agreements)
  • When required by law or government authorities
  • To protect the rights, safety, or integrity of our platform

9. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep users logged in
  • Save preferences
  • Improve usability and performance

You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may limit functionality on our platform.

10. Security Practices

We employ strong encryption (SSL/TLS), access controls, and periodic security monitoring.
However, no online platform is immune to risks. Users should maintain strong passwords, avoid sharing login credentials, and report any suspicious activity promptly.

11. Regional Scope

Optymatch.com operates primarily in India and does not specifically target or process data from users located in the European Union. GDPR does not apply to our operations.

12. Third-Party Links

Our platform and Chrome extension may contain links to third-party websites such as LinkedIn or payment gateways. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external sites.

13. Updates to This Policy

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in features, regulations, or security practices.
